Vernon Wells left the yard and had 4 RBI at the ballpark as the Dublin
Pubcrawlers beat the Jefferson Park Penguins by the count of 10 to 8.
Wells provided the offensive punch. He clubbed a three-run home run (his 5th
of the season) in the 1st inning, lashed a single in the 5th inning and laced
a one-base hit in the 7th inning. Dublin ended up with 15 hits for the game
while Jefferson Park had 10.
Joe Saunders(1-3) got the win allowing 8 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings. Saunders
got help from Trevor Hoffman who was credited with his 9th save. The loss
was charged to Bronson Arroyo(4-4).
